The handle is created of Walrus Ivory which is found in melting glaciers in Alaska and the Siberian tundra. Prehistorically, this material was utilized by the Eskimo to make tools and utensils; from harpoons to sled runners, ivory was considered a gift from the gods. The Fossil Walrus Ivory pocket knife collection features handcrafted pocket knife designs with a pocket clip and a hand-crafted blade with our Denali Knife Center’s design etched on the front, which makes this a fine collector’s piece that will last for generations.
